| Job Description/ Responsibilities |
Act as a prime mover in Company’s objective to establish itself as the leading provider of value-add Training & Consultancy HSE & Petroleum Services in Kuwait and in the region. Plan and implement TCS BU activities in order to meet company targets for business retention, growth and profitability. The TCS BU Manager reports to the Vice President responsible for HSE. The TCS Business Unit Manager’s (BUM) main role is to ensure that policy guidelines set by the Company are translated into executable plans that are achievable and measurable with the resources available at Company’s disposal. The BUM is required to devise, recommend, gain approval for and implement plans for directing Company to operate and develop as per the vision, mission and operational objectives set by the Company. The BUM is also required to develop and maintain a corporate BU culture that adheres to the overall mission. The position motivates TCS personnel and aligns the personnel resources with the objectives, business plans, and targets of CO so that they can become the implementers of that culture and vision through various managerial tools and business practices. The position also represents the critical link between Company and suppliers, key customers and other external entities (regulatory and financial). The TCS BUM is also responsible for directing the delivery of services / courses to company’s customers with an attitude commitment and application of to exceeding expectations in for every job task. The position also ensures that the TCS department is supported via the exceptional maintenance and complete readiness of all Instructors and equipment utilized to serve company clients. The position therefore also directs the Operations and Technical & Maintenance operational performance in adherence to fulfilling service delivery in a safe, timely and efficient manner, via compliance to company mission, vision, and standards in serving clients. Deliver strong analysis, problem solving, organizing and planning skills to enable the formulation and implementation of business plans and programmes to meet the Company’s objective of being a premier supplier to its chosen marketplaces. Develop and deliver an Annual Business Plan & Budget for the TCS Unit with submission to the Vice President & CEO for final approval; and Sales Forecasting, Financial Budgeting, Operational Management, Client Reporting on a regular (Monthly/Quarterly/Annual) or as and when required basis, according to Company/Group Standards and requirements. Review of periodic operational activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and implementation of any tactical revision of objectives and plans in accordance with developing market and business conditions. Make a substantial contribution to policy making and Company direction at a BU and an organization level covering broad issues such as Company structure, long term planning, pricing, future service/product definition, selection and/or acquisition, etc. Attend/lead periodic Executive and/or Management Committee meetings. Identify, evaluate and make recommendations on suitable technology and service directions that the TCS BU/Company should consider, and the investment required in terms of financial and people resources. Full P & L responsibility for the BU, including the successful achievement of the following: • Unit & Value, Order and Sales targets • Price and Margin goals • Operating performance within expense budgets • Revenue & Profitability goals • Invoicing/Outstanding Collections Targets • Other financial objectives which may be set by the Company In coordination with the Sales Team: • Develop and build the TCS business development and sales effort to achieve and exceed agreed targets • Provide a major input to the formation of BU marketing policy, marketing strategy and design of marketing campaigns • Develop and implement Major Account Management (KDC, KOC, KPC, etc.) and Customer Visit programmes, as required, to improve business potential and customer satisfaction in these accounts • Implement Quotation/Proposal approval and sign-off procedures meeting Company standards • Develop & deliver high quality multi-media presentations & undertake technical pre-sales activities, as required for business development purposes • Lead and/or participate in key public relations activities Manage, monitor and report on the deployment and management of all resources in the Unit (including consultancy, training, support, office staff, fixed assets, DVPMS, etc.), as defined in the budget, to meet agreed financial and commercial objectives. • To ensure that all existing Course Content and Courses are delivered to agreed. • Company and international standards and are reviewed and updated regularly;that all Courses for future delivery (standard or bespoke) are researched, designed, developed, and delivered according to an agreed schedule; and that all this is delivered according to the Company’s standards and policies. • Create / purchase as necessary all required equipment and materials necessary to perform any course listed in company's catalogue and develop & maintain an efficient and cost-effective stock management system • Revise / evaluate TCS catalogue, course list and price book on a quarterly basis • and recommend/agree any required removals/changes/ additions/upgrades with Vice President. • Utilize Intelex, or any other agreed document control system to control catalogue, course content, operations documents, and maintenance documents, Company HSE manual, HSE Policies and all other related documents. • Utilize Intelex, or any other agreed automated systems and/or tools, to develop & deliver an administrative framework for the management of the TCS BU • Operation, including all standard documentation, working procedures, reporting formats, etc. and an agreed quality system accreditation. • Utilize Intelex, or any other agreed automated Quality Assurance (QA) system and other procedures for ISO accreditation within 1 year of position start date • High level motivation and leadership in an open-management, ‘situational. • leadership’ style, to deliver employee empowerment, responsibility/accountability, team building, personal/career development programmes, as well as recruitment, retention and succession planning. • Identify, develop, modify and generally improve professional standards at all levels and implement agreed standards to meet the Company’s Vision & Mission Statements, Customer Service Excellence and Quality objectives, and to implement agreed operating philosophies and values. • At both a personal and Unit level, must at all times seek to achieve the highest standards of professional behavior in dealing with Partners, Prospects, Customers, Suppliers, Third Party Organizations, Colleagues, Staff to foster cooperative long-term partnerships. A strong personal presence and good negotiating skills are required for this purpose. • to achieve the highest standards of quality and service and to implement and support Customer projects • Identify, recruit, train, lead, motivate, manage and develop the TCS team of consultants, instructors, coordinators and other resources to ensure requisite skill sets are available to meet Company requirements. Conduct regular staff performance and appraisals for TCS personnel, including evaluation of performance of Instructors/Coordinators and recommendations for approval by the Company for promotion, increments and other benefits as per the Company salary structure and career path policies • Establish and maintain a high-level of Customer Satisfaction (measured via a Customer Satisfaction Management System to be implemented by the department within 6 months of employment date) • Develop and implement a company HSE Policy and direct the application and • adherence to such HSE policy, whether organizational or regulatory. Implement • automated non-compliance/incident capture and rectification mechanisms. |
